With great shock and sadness we heard of the passing of Volker Bernardi. Our thoughts are with his family and friends in this tough time.

Volker worked tirelessly for so many years to develop all flying disc sports and make them more widely recognized in the world of sports. Without him we wouldn’t be where we are now and the World Games in Chengdu were just one more step into a bright future. He will always have an important place in the history of all sports associated with those so beautifully flying discs.

The European Disc Golf Federation (EDGF) thanks him for all his engagement over such a long time. RIP
